What is CoolSculpting?
CoolSculpting by Zeltiq is a breakthrough, non-invasive procedure that uses cooling technology to noticeably get rid of fat cells without surgery.
Am I a good candidate for CoolSculpting?
CoolSculpting is not a weight loss solution for people who are obese. Good candidates for CoolSculpting treatment have noticeable bulges of fat in certain areas they’d like to get rid of. During your consultation Dr. Zadeh will determine if you are a good candidate and work with you to decide on the best treatment plan for you.
How long is each CoolSculpting treatment session?
The treatment plan you develop with Dr. Zadeh during your CoolSculpting consultation will determine how much time is needed to achieve your desired results. In general, each treatment takes a minimum of 60 minutes. During this time you can sit back and relax; read a book; work on your iPad or laptop; or enjoy a movie on our huge flat screen TV as the CoolSculpting machine freezes away your fat.
Is CoolSculpting safe?
CoolSculpting is an FDA-approved treatment which has been proven to be safe and effective in reducing fat cells in areas such as the belly or love handles. Several clinical studies have been done to confirm the safety of the CoolSculpting procedure.
Is CoolSculpting painful?
In our experience, our clients have had minimal to no downtime after their CoolSculpting treatments. The amount of discomfort you may have depends on each person’s tolerance and usually resolves after 1 or 2 days. Dr. Zadeh will talk with you more about what to expect during and after your CoolSculpting procedure when you meet for your consultation.
How much does CoolSculpting cost?
CoolSculpting prices vary, depending on your areas of concern, the number of treatments needed and your ultimate goals. After Dr. Zadeh examines you and addresses your concerns, a more accurate estimate can be made on the cost of your CoolSculpting treatment. Our treatment plans are especially designed to fit your individual needs and goals to give you the sculpted shape you want.
Can I return to normal activities after my treatment?
Yes you can. The CoolSculpting procedure does not involve any needles, cutting, incisions, or anesthesia. Typically you will be able to return to your normal activities immediately. In fact, many of our clients get CoolSculpting done during their lunch breaks and return to work after their treatment session is over.
Are the results permanent?
When you have your CoolSculpting fat freezing treatment, all the fat cells that are frozen will be naturally eliminated. As long as you maintain a healthy weight and a normal diet, your long-term results should remain stable.
What’s the difference between CoolSculpting and Liposuction?
Liposuction is a surgical procedure. That means it requires anesthesia, several incisions, and recovery time. The CoolSculpting procedure is totally non-invasive. There are no needles, no incisions, and no downtime involved with CoolSculpting. Since liposuction involves surgery, there are also risks and complications involved. Infection of the incision sites and fluid buildup can contribute to less than desirable results with liposuction. On the other hand, CoolSculpting is safe and low risk. Some people may experience redness, minor bruising, tingling, numbness or discomfort in the treated area, but this is temporary and will resolves completely on its own. Since there is no downtime associated with CoolSculpting, you can resume your normal activities immediately after your treatment.
